Puerto Plata, R.D. – El Instituto Nacional de Formación Técnico Profesional (INFOTEP) ha impactado positivamente a miles de personas en la provincia de Puerto Plata, facilitando el acceso a empleos dignos a través de su oferta académica durante los últimos años.
Según informó el licenciado Elvis Pérez Vera, encargado de la oficina satélite del INFOTEP en esta demarcación, un total de 132,573 personas fueron beneficiadas con programas formativos entre agosto de 2020 y marzo de 2025. De estos, 62,110 fueron hombres (46.84%) y 70,473 mujeres (53.16%).
Pérez Vera ofreció estos datos al participar en la segunda jornada del encuentro “Gobierno en las Provincias”, donde se debatió sobre el fortalecimiento del sistema educativo dominicano, destacando el papel crucial que juega la formación técnica en ese proceso.
La oficina del INFOTEP en Puerto Plata reafirmó su compromiso con la capacitación continua, el desarrollo profesional y la integración al mercado laboral de miles de ciudadanos, apoyando así el crecimiento de la economía local y nacional.

Puerto Plata, D.R. – The National Institute of Technical and Vocational Training (INFOTEP) has positively impacted thousands of people in Puerto Plata, providing them with academic opportunities that have opened doors to dignified employment.
According to Lic. Elvis Pérez Vera, head of the INFOTEP satellite office in the province, a total of 132,573 individuals benefited from training programs between August 2020 and March 2025. Of these, 62,110 were men (46.84%) and 70,473 were women (53.16%).
Pérez Vera shared this information during the second session of the “Government in the Provinces” meeting, which focused on strengthening the Dominican educational system and emphasized the importance of technical education.
The INFOTEP office in Puerto Plata reaffirmed its commitment to continuous training, professional development, and the integration of citizens into the labor market, supporting both local and national economic growth.
