En Miami, Florida.– Los dominicanos Agustín Ramírez y Ronny Simon se convirtieron este lunes en los jugadores 113 de los Gigantes del Cibao y 128 de los Toros del Este, respectivamente, en debutar en las Grandes Ligas con los Marlins de Miami.
Ramírez, receptor de los Gigantes, se fue de 3-2 con un doble, una base por bolas y una carrera anotada, mientras que Simon, infielder de los Toros, conectó de 4-1 con una impulsada, en la victoria 6-3 ante Cincinnati.
“Esto es increíble, no lo puedo creer”, expresó Ramírez tras su debut. “Tantas emociones y más aún porque ganamos. Demostré el tipo de jugador que puedo ser”, añadió con emoción.
Con estos dos nuevos debutantes, la República Dominicana sigue sumando talentos a la MLB, fortaleciendo su ya reconocida presencia en el mejor béisbol del mundo.

In Miami, Florida– Dominicans Agustín Ramírez and Ronny Simon made their MLB debuts on Monday with the Miami Marlins, becoming the 113th player from Gigantes del Cibao and the 128th from Toros del Este to reach the majors.
Catcher Ramírez went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a run scored, while infielder Simon went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Miami’s 6-3 win over Cincinnati.
“This is incredible, I can’t believe it,” Ramírez said after his debut. “So many emotions, and even better because we won. I showed the kind of player I can be,” he added excitedly.
With these two new players, the Dominican Republic continues to expand its strong presence in Major League Baseball, showcasing its exceptional talent on the world stage.
