Hatico, Mao, Valverde, R.D.- “Su ejercicio y el nuestro conllevan el mismo nivel de vocación”, expresó el sacerdote titular de la Parroquia Sagrado Corazón de Jesús durante la misa dedicada a los gremios comunicacionales en ocasión del Día Nacional del Periodista.
La ceremonia religiosa recibió a miembros del Colegio Dominicano de Periodistas (CDP), del Sindicato Nacional de Trabajadores de la Prensa (SNTP) y del Círculo de Reporteros de Televisión, quienes participaron como parte de las actividades conmemorativas a su labor informativa.
El párroco resaltó que la labor periodística, al igual que la pastoral, implica sacrificio, entrega, y compromiso con la verdad, elementos fundamentales de una vocación auténtica. “También ustedes tienen una misión espiritual: comunicar con responsabilidad, respeto y sensibilidad”, dijo.
La misa formó parte del programa de actividades organizadas por FOTS DOMINICANA MEDIOS durante la semana del periodista, que incluyó encuentros gremiales, reconocimientos y espacios de reflexión.

Hatico, Mao, Valverde, D.R. – “Your work and ours share the same level of vocation,” said the priest of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish during a special mass dedicated to media professionals on the occasion of National Journalists’ Day.
The religious ceremony welcomed members of the Dominican College of Journalists (CDP), the National Union of Press Workers (SNTP), and the Circle of TV Reporters, as part of the week-long tribute to the country’s journalists.
The priest highlighted that journalism, like pastoral work, demands sacrifice, dedication, and a deep commitment to truth—hallmarks of a true calling. “You too have a spiritual mission: to communicate with responsibility, respect, and sensitivity,” he stated.
The mass was one of several events coordinated by FOTS DOMINICANA MEDIOS during Journalist Week, including professional gatherings, recognitions, and moments of reflection.
