El joven Pozo ha tenido destacadas actuaciones recientemente, como su batazo de oro el pasado s\u00e1bado y un sencillo clave ante los Medias Blancas de Chicago, pero m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de sus logros en el terreno, su deseo es ver a su familia unida, disfrutando del b\u00e9isbol que los ha vinculado por d\u00e9cadas.<\/p>\n

Su abuelo, Rafael Pozo, fue un pelotero destacado en Venezuela, y su padre, tambi\u00e9n llamado Yohel, jug\u00f3 en ligas menores con los Cachorros y Rockies en los a\u00f1os 90, sin llegar a Grandes Ligas. Ahora, el Yohel m\u00e1s joven contin\u00faa ese legado con esfuerzo, incluso tras haber vivido en su auto durante la pandemia, mientras cuidaba a su hijo enfermo.<\/p>\n

El llamado a MLB el pasado 7 de abril desde Triple-A Memphis provoc\u00f3 l\u00e1grimas de emoci\u00f3n en su padre. Hoy, Yohel Pozo no solo busca destacar en el diamante, sino tambi\u00e9n cumplir el sue\u00f1o familiar de ver juntos a tres generaciones Pozo bajo las luces de las Grandes Ligas.<\/p>\n

St. Louis, MO\u2014Venezuelan catcher Yohel Pozo, current backup for the St. Louis Cardinals, revealed his greatest wish: to share in person with his father and grandfather the fulfillment of their long-standing dream of making it to Major League Baseball.<\/p>\n

Pozo has had standout moments recently, including a walk-off hit on Saturday and a go-ahead single against the White Sox in Chicago. But beyond his on-field success, his heart lies in seeing three generations of the Pozo family together, united by the game they all love.<\/p>\n

His grandfather, Rafael Pozo, was a respected ballplayer in Venezuela, and his father, also named Yohel, played in the minor leagues with the Cubs and Rockies in the 1990s but never reached the majors. Now, the youngest Yohel has carried that dream further, even after hardships like living in a car during the pandemic while caring for his sick son.<\/p>\n

His MLB call-up on April 7 from Triple-A Memphis brought tears to his father’s eyes. For Yohel, more than baseball, it\u2019s about honoring his family\u2019s legacy on the biggest stage of all.<\/p>\n
