El comisionado de MLB, Rob Manfred, indic\u00f3 que existe una oportunidad \u00fanica para promover el b\u00e9isbol a nivel global. \u201cObviamente, los clubes tendr\u00e1n que aprobar esto. Es un asunto importante\u201d, expres\u00f3 Manfred ante la Asociaci\u00f3n de Escritores de B\u00e9isbol de Am\u00e9rica, luego de reunirse el lunes en Atlanta con el comit\u00e9 organizador ol\u00edmpico.<\/p>\n

Tony Clark, l\u00edder del sindicato, afirm\u00f3 que los jugadores est\u00e1n entusiasmados con la posibilidad de representar a sus pa\u00edses. \u201cSabemos que hay inter\u00e9s tanto para jugar con Estados Unidos como con otras selecciones nacionales. A\u00fan hay muchas conversaciones pendientes, pero confiamos en que se pueda lograr\u201d, expres\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Las negociaciones contin\u00faan abiertas entre MLB, el sindicato y el Comit\u00e9 Ol\u00edmpico, con el objetivo de encontrar un acuerdo que permita al b\u00e9isbol brillar nuevamente en el escenario ol\u00edmpico, tras su \u00faltima aparici\u00f3n en Tokio 2021.<\/p>\n

Atlanta, USA \u2013 Major League Baseball (MLB) and the players' union are in advanced talks to explore the possibility of having MLB players participate in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, potentially during an extended All-Star break.<\/span><\/p>\n

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred stated that it\u2019s a key opportunity to promote baseball globally. \u201cObviously, the clubs will need to approve this. It\u2019s a big deal,\u201d Manfred said during a session with the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA), following a Monday meeting in Atlanta with Olympic organizers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Players' Association head Tony Clark confirmed strong interest among athletes to represent their countries. \u201cWe know players want to play, whether for Team USA or other national teams. There are many conversations that still need to happen, but we\u2019re hopeful we can find a way,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Talks remain open between MLB, the union, and Olympic officials, aiming to reach a deal that would bring baseball back to the Olympic stage after its last appearance in Tokyo 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n
