Durante la jornada, celebrada en la ciudad de Bogot\u00e1, la delegaci\u00f3n dominicana present\u00f3 los pasos dados para actualizar su PNDV, resaltando su importancia como herramienta para reforzar la capacidad de respuesta ante futuras emergencias sanitarias. Este plan sirve como una base s\u00f3lida para el dise\u00f1o del nuevo Plan de Preparaci\u00f3n frente a Pandemias (PPPAPR), el cual se alinea con la estrategia global PRET impulsada por la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS).<\/p>\n

Entre los aspectos clave compartidos se incluyeron las mejoras en log\u00edstica, la articulaci\u00f3n interinstitucional, los sistemas de informaci\u00f3n, y la comunicaci\u00f3n del riesgo, pilares fundamentales para una respuesta efectiva en situaciones cr\u00edticas de salud p\u00fablica. Las experiencias dominicanas fueron bien valoradas por los pa\u00edses participantes en la reuni\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Con esta participaci\u00f3n, Rep\u00fablica Dominicana reafirma su compromiso con la cooperaci\u00f3n regional y con el fortalecimiento de los mecanismos de vigilancia epidemiol\u00f3gica y respuesta ante amenazas sanitarias de alto impacto.<\/p>\n

Bogot\u00e1, Colombia \u2013 Representatives of the Ministry of Public Health of the Dominican Republic actively participated in the Regional Epidemiology Meeting of SARINet Plus and REVELAC-i, where they shared the country\u2019s progress in public health planning, particularly regarding the enhancement of the National Deployment and Vaccination Plan (PNDV).<\/p>\n

During the event, held in Bogot\u00e1, the Dominican delegation showcased the recent update of the PNDV, emphasizing its role in strengthening national response capabilities to future health emergencies. This plan is also the foundation for the new Pandemic Preparedness and Response Plan (PPPAPR), which aligns with the World Health Organization\u2019s (WHO) global PRET strategy.<\/p>\n

Key improvements highlighted included logistics, inter-institutional coordination, information systems, and risk communication\u2014essential pillars for an effective response in public health crises. The Dominican Republic\u2019s experience was well received by participating countries.<\/p>\n

With this participation, the Dominican Republic reaffirms its commitment to regional cooperation and to strengthening epidemiological surveillance and emergency preparedness mechanisms.<\/p>\n
