Santo Domingo, R.D. \u2013 Con el objetivo de consolidar la cooperaci\u00f3n regional en materia de seguridad, el presidente Luis Abinader encabez\u00f3 la apertura de la Octava Reuni\u00f3n de Ministros en Materia de Seguridad P\u00fablica de las Am\u00e9ricas (VIII MISPA), junto a la ministra Faride Raful, otras autoridades nacionales y representantes de la Organizaci\u00f3n de los Estados Americanos (OEA).<\/p>\n

\"\"Este importante encuentro multilateral tiene como eje central el fortalecimiento de la reforma y transformaci\u00f3n policial con participaci\u00f3n ciudadana, reafirmando el compromiso del gobierno dominicano con una seguridad m\u00e1s inclusiva, eficiente y respetuosa de los derechos humanos.<\/p>\n

Durante su intervenci\u00f3n, el presidente Abinader resalt\u00f3 la importancia de construir una regi\u00f3n m\u00e1s segura a trav\u00e9s de la colaboraci\u00f3n entre pa\u00edses, el intercambio de buenas pr\u00e1cticas y la integraci\u00f3n social como base para combatir el crimen organizado y garantizar justicia para todos.<\/p>\n

La VIII MISPA representa una plataforma estrat\u00e9gica donde los Estados miembros de la OEA discuten pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas que promuevan la seguridad ciudadana con equidad, transparencia y corresponsabilidad social.<\/p>\n

Santo Domingo, D.R. \u2013 Aiming to strengthen regional cooperation on public safety, President Luis Abinader led the opening of the Eighth Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Public Security in the Americas (VIII MISPA), alongside Minister Faride Raful, other national authorities, and representatives from the Organization of American States (OAS).<\/span><\/p>\n

This key multilateral event focuses on deepening the process of police reform and transformation with active citizen engagement, reflecting the Dominican government\u2019s commitment to a safer and more rights-respecting security system.<\/span><\/p>\n

In his speech, President Abinader emphasized the need to build a safer region through cross-border collaboration, the sharing of best practices, and promoting social inclusion as a foundation to fight organized crime and ensure justice for all.<\/span><\/p>\n

VIII MISPA serves as a strategic forum for OAS member states to discuss public policies that enhance citizen security with fairness, transparency, and social responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n
