\"\"Santiago de los Caballeros, R.D.\u2013 La Polic\u00eda Nacional inform\u00f3 este lunes que fue localizada en buen estado de salud una joven de 25 a\u00f1os, junto a su hijo de cinco, quienes hab\u00edan sido reportados como desaparecidos desde el pasado viernes 25 de julio en el sector Pek\u00edn, al sur de esta ciudad.<\/p>\n

Gracias a las labores de seguimiento de la Divisi\u00f3n de Investigaci\u00f3n adscrita a la Direcci\u00f3n Regional Cibao Central, los agentes lograron dar con el paradero de la joven y su hijo en una residencia ubicada en la calle 27 de Febrero del mismo sector. Ambos se encontraban en la vivienda de una amiga, seg\u00fan confirm\u00f3 el informe policial.<\/p>\n

La desaparici\u00f3n fue notificada por Francisco Javier Jim\u00e9nez Castillo<\/strong>, alias La Baraja<\/em>, pareja sentimental de la joven, quien alert\u00f3 a la familia tras llegar a la vivienda la noche del 25 de julio y no encontrarla. La madre de la joven formaliz\u00f3 la denuncia ante las autoridades al d\u00eda siguiente.<\/p>\n

Durante el proceso de investigaci\u00f3n, la joven declar\u00f3 que se ausent\u00f3 voluntariamente debido a presuntas agresiones f\u00edsicas sufridas por parte de su pareja. En consecuencia, Jim\u00e9nez Castillo fue arrestado y ser\u00e1 presentado ante las autoridades correspondientes, mientras el caso contin\u00faa bajo investigaci\u00f3n como un posible hecho de violencia de g\u00e9nero<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Santiago de los Caballeros, D.R.\u2013 The National Police announced Monday that a 25-year-old woman and her five-year-old son, reported missing since July 25, have been found safe and in good health. The search operation took place in the southern area of Santiago, in the sector of Pek\u00edn.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the report from the Central Cibao Regional Directorate, investigators found the woman and her son on Saturday, July 27, in a home located on 27 de Febrero Street, where they were staying with a friend.<\/span><\/p>\n

The disappearance had been reported by Francisco Javier Jim\u00e9nez Castillo<\/strong>, known as La Baraja<\/em>, the woman\u2019s partner, who informed the family after arriving home on the evening of July 25 and finding both missing. The woman\u2019s mother then filed a formal complaint with the authorities.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her statement to police, the woman said she had left voluntarily, citing alleged physical abuse by her partner. As a result, Jim\u00e9nez Castillo was arrested and is currently in custody, pending further legal procedures. Authorities are investigating the case as a possible instance of gender-based violence<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
