\"\"Esperanza, Valverde, R.D.<\/strong>\u2013 En una intervenci\u00f3n cargada de sinceridad y cr\u00edtica social, el reconocido acad\u00e9mico Rafael Rodr\u00edguez comparti\u00f3 con ciudadanos de Esperanza una reflexi\u00f3n profunda sobre la situaci\u00f3n fiscal y pol\u00edtica del pa\u00eds, afirmando que \u201clos ricos no pagan impuestos porque son los que gobiernan y hay que hacer lo que ellos manden\u201d.<\/p>\n

Rodr\u00edguez record\u00f3 que tras la muerte de Trujillo no entend\u00eda de pol\u00edtica, pero fue notando c\u00f3mo el pa\u00eds ten\u00eda potencial para salir adelante. Se\u00f1al\u00f3 que con la llegada de Juan Bosch en 1963 el pueblo comenz\u00f3 a vivir mejor, pero todo cambi\u00f3 con el golpe de Estado. Lament\u00f3 que con la entrada de Balaguer en 1965, a pesar de estar en su contra, consigui\u00f3 trabajo por m\u00e9ritos, algo que asegura ya no ocurre en los gobiernos actuales.<\/p>\n

El acad\u00e9mico critic\u00f3 el deterioro del sistema educativo, se\u00f1alando que se premia a los mediocres mientras se atropella a quienes luchan por la calidad. \u201cQuise implementar ciencias y tecnolog\u00eda en el bachillerato, pero en vez de hacerlo con criterio, pusieron inform\u00e1tica en manos de personas que sab\u00edan menos que los alumnos\u201d, expres\u00f3 con frustraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Finalmente, advirti\u00f3 que el pa\u00eds est\u00e1 atrapado por los tent\u00e1culos del poder econ\u00f3mico y la ambici\u00f3n. Denunci\u00f3 que \u201clas elecciones no representan la voluntad del pueblo, porque la minor\u00eda que vota es burlada y los resultados se manipulan desde arriba\u201d. Concluy\u00f3 diciendo: \u201cDespu\u00e9s de 60 a\u00f1os de lucha, ya solo me queda desahogarme\u201d.<\/p>\n

Esperanza, Valverde, D.R.<\/strong>\u2013 In a heartfelt and socially charged statement, respected academic Rafael Rodr\u00edguez addressed residents of Esperanza with a blunt critique of the Dominican political and fiscal system, declaring that \u201cthe rich don\u2019t pay taxes because they are the ones who govern, and we must do what they say.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodr\u00edguez recalled that after the death of Trujillo, he knew little about politics, but gradually realized the country\u2019s wealth and potential. He noted that when Juan Bosch came to power in 1963, life improved for the people\u2014only to collapse after the 1963 coup. He reflected that during Balaguer\u2019s era, despite being an opponent, he was able to find work based on merit\u2014something he says is no longer possible under current governments.<\/p>\n

He strongly criticized the collapse of the educational system, where mediocrity is rewarded and those who fight for quality are pressured and mistreated. \u201cI fought to introduce science and technology into high school, but instead, they added computer classes taught by people who knew less than the students,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In closing, Rodr\u00edguez warned that the country is controlled by economic power and greed. He condemned the electoral system, stating, \u201cElections are manipulated; only a few vote, and others decide the outcome.\u201d He ended his remarks with resignation: \u201cAfter more than 60 years of swimming against the current, all I have left is to speak out.\u201d<\/p>\n
