The Santiago Rodríguez Prosecutor’s Office achieved a five-year prison sentence against a man convicted of aggravated violence against a woman, in a case that involved the violation of a previously issued protection order.
According to the case file, the defendant committed acts of violence against the victim even after the court had granted the protective measure, which constitutes an offense under Article 309-3, paragraph G, of the Dominican Penal Code. The ruling was issued on July 20, 2025, by the Santiago Rodríguez Collegiate Court.
This verdict is part of the Public Ministry’s ongoing efforts to ensure justice and protect women’s rights against violence, reaffirming its commitment to the strict application of the law.
